LIBERTY TOWNSHIP — Liberty’s Parker Van Engelenhoven capped his high school career in style.

A Louisville recruit, Van Engelenhoven was selected the Division I Player of the Year when the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association unveiled the All-Ohio teams.

Van Engelenhoven earned a spot on the first team as a utility player after pitching and hitting the Patriots to an Ohio Capital Conference Central Division championship. Liberty won a district title before falling to Newark in the regional semifinals.

Orange pitcher Reid Hemrick and catcher Colby Luling were first-team picks. The duo helped the Pioneers win a district title and reach the state semifinals.

Hayes senior Tank Tompkins was selected to the first team as an outfielder. Tompkins helped the Pacers win their first-ever OCC Capital Division crown.

Liberty’s Drew Hauenstein, Orange’s Jake Luling and Olentangy’s Rocco Bucci were second-team picks. Hayes’ Landon Green and Lucas Flack were honorable-mention selections.

Division II

Big Walnut’s Jake Neff was selected to the All-Ohio first team in Division II. 

The Golden Eagles reached the regional championship game before falling to eventual state champ New Albany.

Teammate Braylon Robertson was an honorable-mention selection as a pitcher.

Division IV

Buckeye Valley’s Gavin Smith and Liam Popovich were recognized as honorable-mention picks on the Division IV All-Ohio team.

Smith was selected as a catcher, while Popovich was picked at shortstop.
