DELAWARE — A familiar face is coming back to Delaware.
Delaware Source has named Jessica Garrett as its Community Business Manager, a role focused on building advertising and marketing partnerships as the newsroom expands into Delaware County.
Garrett will serve as the primary business contact for Delaware Source, working with local businesses, nonprofits and organizations to help them connect with local audiences through trusted journalism and strategic marketing solutions.
Her appointment comes as Source Media Properties continues its expansion into Delaware County, bringing its community-first journalism model to a growing region with strong civic leadership and business collaboration.

“I’m excited to be part of a team that is telling Delaware’s story in a positive, community-building way,” Garrett said. “There is meaningful collaboration happening here, and I’m looking forward to helping local businesses create solutions that connect them more deeply with their community.”
Garrett brings a perspective shaped by lifelong exposure to entrepreneurship. Raised in a family of business owners, she said she has a deep respect for the dedication and resilience required to build and sustain local enterprises.
“Entrepreneurship takes grit and commitment,” she said. “Business owners wear many hats, and strong partnerships can make a real difference in their success.”
In her role, Garrett said her focus will be on listening first — helping businesses understand how credible local information, advocacy and strategy can support long-term growth.
“Local businesses need a trusted partner who understands what’s happening in the community and can help them connect in meaningful ways,” she said. “My goal is for business owners to feel heard and supported, and to know they have a partner working alongside them.”
