DELAWARE — Three Olentangy Liberty boys and two Orange girls finished the state wrestling tournament strong Sunday.

Each finished atop the podium after rising from the consolation bracket.

Below is a breakdown of how all five grapplers finished, their path to the placement matches, and, of course, photos of the action.

Liberty’s podium finishers

After two stops for blood and a three-point takedown taken away, Huggy Williams lost to Brecksville’s Cole Speer via a 1-0 decision.

Williams claimed a fourth-place finish in the 144 lbs. weight class with the loss.

He got to the placement tilt after a 4-1 decision victory over Wadsworth’s Kolten Mellon.

Aiden Milam grappled with Sully Karmon (of Perrysburg) almost at the same time as Williams’ bout, just one mat over.

Milam took home a third-place finish in the 150 lbs. weight class after he pinned Karmon in 2:26.

The Patriot made it to the third-place bout after taking down Massillon Perry’s Cameron Plotts by way of a 16-3 major decision.

Following in line with his teammate, Dylan Frass achieved third-place after beating Butler’s Jace Love by way of an 11-0 major decision in the 190 lbs. weight class.

Frass got to the tilt after defeating Coffman’s Michael Feeney by a 9-4 decision.

Orange’s Lacie Knick takes third, Tara Davis fifth

The former state champion, Lacie Knick, grappled her way to another podium finish at the Schottenstein Center.

Knick claimed third in the 130 lbs. weight class after pinning Kelsey King (of Lakota West) in 2:20.

She got the opportunity to go toe-to-toe for third after a 5-4 decision victory over Brunswick’s Marisa McCartin.

After falling to Elyria’s Jaelyn Green in the consolation bracket semifinals by way of a 4-3 decision, Tara Davis regrouped.

The Pioneer grappled with Savannah Holderby (of Westfall) and ultimately took the match by way of a 4-3 sudden victory. Davis claimed fifth with her win.
