DELAWARE — Olentangy Schools has earned a top overall five-star rating for the fourth consecutive year on the newly released 2025-26 Ohio School Report Cards.
The district is one of just 61 of Ohio’s 607 school districts to receive the state’s highest overall rating this year.
“Strong results are the product of intentional work, collaboration and a shared commitment to our district mission,” said Superintendent Todd Meyer.
Olentangy is the only district with more than 10,000 students among Ohio’s 61 five-star districts, while continuing to grow each year, according to Meyer.
“Maintaining this level of academic excellence while serving a rapidly growing student population is an extraordinary accomplishment by our entire staff and learning community,” Meyer said.
The Ohio School Report Cards provide academic and opportunity-to-learn data for schools and districts across the state.
Olentangy earned five-star ratings in overall Academic Achievement, Closing Educational Gaps, and Graduation Rates, significantly exceeding state standards.
The district also earned four-star ratings in Early Literacy and Progress, demonstrating strong evidence of student growth beyond expectations.
“We are proud that the state report card continues to reflect Olentangy’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence,” said Dr. Michelle Blackley, Chief Academic Officer. “Ohio’s report card system continues to evolve as measures are introduced, refined, and periodically recalibrated to maintain meaningful expectations for schools and districts.
“Amid these changes, Olentangy continues to strengthen student achievement, accelerate growth, and improve outcomes for learners,” she continued. “This recognition reflects the collective efforts of our dedicated staff, engaged families, and supportive community, who work together every day to personalize learning, foster growth, and help every student flourish.”
Highlights from this year’s report card include:
• Academic Achievement: Olentangy Schools’ Performance Index (PI), which measures student performance on state tests, is 103.6, ranking 43 among 607 districts statewide and fifth in central Ohio. Of the 14 districts in the state with over 10,000 students, Olentangy is the only district to earn five stars in Achievement.
• Gap Closing: Olentangy’s gap-closing percentage is 86.1%, second among districts with over 10,000 students, second in central Ohio and 13 in the state. All ten subgroups met the achievement goals in both ELA and math, with nine of the 10 subgroups already exceeding the long-term achievement goal.
• Graduation: The district and all four high schools earned five stars, with a weighted average of 98.0% or better.
• College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness: Olentangy’s readiness score increased 0.8 percentage points from last year to 72.2%. Olentangy has the third highest ranking of the 12 districts with over 1,000 graduates and ranks 10th overall in central Ohio.
• Student Progress: Olentangy Schools earned a growth index of 24.09, which ranked fifth in the state and third in central Ohio.
