DELAWARE — Andrews House, a cornerstone of community service for three decades, announces a leadership change as Mel Corroto is retiring as Executive Director, passing the torch to Lindsey Blackburn, who will fully assume the role beginning November 1, 2026.
For 30 years, Andrews House has been a trusted partner and collaborator within the community, known for its steady, tradition-rich commitment to helping others in the areas of food insecurity, legal assistance, and strengthening a myriad of local programs that address poverty in our community.
This shift in leadership marks a new chapter for the organization — one rooted in the same values that have long defined it, while embracing innovation and expanded reach.
“I have enjoyed working within our community to help bridge gaps in services for our vulnerable populations,” Corroto said. “Delaware County has grown a great deal in the past 14 years, and the needs of the community have quickly grown with it.
“I am very grateful to have worked with individuals, church communities, businesses, and other organizational partners to establish programs like the Mobile Market fresh food distribution with Mid-Ohio Food Collective, Farmers’ Market SNAP Program, and the Place of Warmth Homeless Warming Station as well as expand programs such as our Brief Legal Advice Clinics.”
During Ms. Corroto’s tenure, she helped guide Andrews House through significant growth and milestones, including expanding core programs and services that have reached thousands of individuals; forming key community partnerships; and updating the 185-year-old facility, including replacing a 30-year-old HVAC system, roof, windows, and interiors.

Lindsey Blackburn brings 20 years of experience in the field of education, non-profit involvement, and small business growth. Lindsey has a proven track record in program development, community partnerships, organizational management, fundraising, and grants. She is committed to preserving Andrews House traditions while positioning it for future growth.
“It’s a privilege to step into this role — to honor the contributions of those who came before me, grow our impactful programs, and serve as steward of this historic property,” Blackburn said. “The warm welcome that I have received speaks to the culture Mel has built and the deep respect that Andrews House has earned over the years.
“As someone who already calls this community home, getting to work where I live feels especially meaningful and fun, and I’m excited to keep fostering the connections that serve our local good.”
Lindsey began late in July, and the two executive directors are working together through the end of 2026 to ensure a seamless coordination of leadership responsibilities.
Looking ahead, Andrews House will continue to prioritize its role as a reliable community partner and collaborator, while pursuing new opportunities to modernize operations, enhance partnerships, and extend its impact to more individuals and families across Delaware County.
An event will be held on Thursday, October 22 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Andrews House to celebrate Mel’s legacy and the next chapter of growth – all are welcome.
