DELAWARE — Olentangy Schools is proud to announce that 30 academically talented seniors have earned the distinguished honor of National Merit Semifinalist.
These scholars join an elite group representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced the names of more than 16,000 Semifinalists in the 72nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

“Their achievement reflects their dedication to academic excellence, their commitment to learning and the personal achievement we see throughout our schools.”
More than 1.2 million juniors in approximately 20,000 high schools entered the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which served as the initial screen of program entrants.
The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state.
Olentangy Schools will recognize the National Merit Semifinalists, along with Commended Scholars, at its October 22 Olentangy Schools Board of Education meeting.
